July 2026: James was delighted to return to JAM on the Marsh for his 6th festival as Festival Operations Manager.
June 2026: James received a second performance of 'The Great Gate of Kyiv' for solo piano, performed by Robert Scamardella. This was then recorded a week after performance and released on YouTube.
June 2026: James took up the position of Academic Operations Manager at Bede's Senior Schoo, East Sussex.
May 2026: James conducted the Stonegate Singers in their performance of Dvorak's Mass in D.
December 2025: James was the Musical Director for Bede's Senior School's production of Les Miserables. James led the vocal coaching of the cast and conducted all of the performances in the shows run.
November 2025: James received a world premiere of his arrangement of 'Ae Fond Kiss' by the Stonegate Singers.
September 2025: James is delighted to announce that his song cycle for Mezzo-Soprano and Piano titled 'Darkening Twilight' has been completed.
July 2025: Returned to JAM on the Marsh as Festival Operations Manager where he looked after world-class artists and was an integral part in the running of the festival
July 2025: Britten sinfonia performed James's arrangements of Satie's Gymnopedies.
June 2025: James conducted the Stonegate choir in a performance of Handel's Judas Maccabaeus.
February 2025: James is excited to announce that his first single will be released on Spotify later this month. James' Piano Sonatina in D Flat was recorded in 2024 by the composer himself and can be found on Spotify and Amazon Music.
December 2024: James was the Assistant Director of Music for Bede's biannual Cabaret performance. James assisted the Artistic Director to curate the programme, arrange a number of pieces and conduct during the performance.
November 2024: James conducted the Stonegate Choir in a performance of Haydn's Nelson Mass.
September 2024: Commissioned by the North Wales International Music festival to write an original piece for solo piano performed by Iwan Llewelyn-Jones.
July 2024: James is delighted to return as accompanist for South Downs Singers summer concert.
July 2024: Returned as concert manager for JAM on the Marsh festival 2024.
June 2024: Commissioned to arrange 'Farewell to Stromness', clarinet, violin and piano for JAM on the Marsh 2024.
June 2024: Conducted the Stonegate choir in their summer concert of opera choruses.
January 2024: Musical Director for production of 'Guys and Dolls' at the Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne.
December 2023: Conducted the Stonegate Choir in their performance of Vivaldi's Gloria, accompanied on organ by Francesca Massey.
September 2023: Appointed Musical Director of the Stonegate Choir.
August 2023: End of a hugely successful tour with Changeling Theatre of School for Scandal and Love's Labour's Lost with over 40 performances over the summer.
July 2023: Successful performance of 'Silent Shadows' by the London Mozart Players at JAM on the Marsh. In a review of the performance James' music was described as a "worthy successor to the intensive string-writing of Britten and Tippett"

January 2023: Commission from renowned theatre company 'Changeling Theatres' to write the music for their 2023 summer tour of Love's Labour's Lost and School for Scandal.
January 2023: Promoted to assistant director of music at leading HMC independent school Bede's Senior School in East Sussex.
December 2022: Conducted a hugely successful performance of 'Faure's Requiem' with the South Down Singers in Polegate, East Sussex to a sold out audience.

January 2022: Began PhD studies in composition at the University of Aberdeen under the supervision of Royal Composer Professor Paul Mealor and world renowned musicologist, Professor Edward Campbell.
